Put together a quick-ish film review looking back at how Caleb's generated quality looks in recent weeks: https://rockm.plus/mizzou-basketbal...rill-generates-quality-catch-and-shoot-looks/

There are (most) times when the offense or Grill gets himself open, but there are other times when you just have to laugh and I personally even feel bad for the defender--there's just nothing you can do.
I guess that's what being the #1 catch-and-shoot does; there's times where there's nobody in the country who can defend him.
A&M's schemes did a good job of denying him opportunities, though. Hopefully not every team is not capable of simply imitating A&M against the Tigers.
But even then, Bates was WIDE open many times (let alone whether focusing on Grill leaves your team vulnerable in the paint). Even A&M probably can't replicate what A&M did...unless you can somehow count on MU to miss wide open shot after shot for 40 minutes.
