Mizzou Basketball signs Two high school players

Mizzou Basketball announced the signing of two high school prospects in their 2025 recruiting class on November 13th.

The pair are both Missouri natives and 4-star prospects, further bolstering the programs depth and talent for next season.

Aaron Rowe is the 79th rated player in 247sports composite, and a combo guard from Columbia, Missouri playing at Tolton High School. Dennis Gates released this quote on Rowe: “We couldn’t be more thrilled that Aaron has decided to stay home, remain in CoMo and be a part of our Mizzou family. He was a priority for us from day one as one of the top point guard prospects in the country. He is a cerebral point guard with elite quickness and athleticism who can create for his teammates. With him being a homegrown player here in Columbia, we’ve really gotten to know Aaron over the last two-plus years. He is already a familiar face within our program and we can’t wait for him to officially don the Black & Gold.”

Nicholas Randall is the 120th rated player in the 247sports composite ranking. Randall is a combo forward originally from St. Louis, Missouri while currently playing at Arizona’s Compass Prep Academy. Gates had this to say on Randall: “Nicholas is a player that we’ve built a strong relationship with since we first stepped foot on campus. He is a perfect fit for our system. His ability to shoot and pass at his size makes him a special player. What truly makes him elite, however, is his IQ, how he sees the game and his ability to communicate. He is a proven winner at every level and was a key piece of three state championship teams and he will only continue to grow at AZ Compass Prep. With the signing of him and Aaron, we made an emphasis to close down the border and add the best talent in the state of Missouri.”

Consider me still excited about Rowe. Yeah, it's been a tough stretch for him over the last year or so. But he's one I'm willing to take that gamble on.

Have been hearing his name since he was at least in junior high. Being local makes that more understandable. Hopefully a little more stability this year helps him refocus and show his natural talent.

I just want to say that I appreciate everyone's patience here as we build this thing out slowly. A big step was getting a wordpress theme for our front page that works the way we want, so we're getting there. Ultimately when these post they will post coming from the author themselves. I want to thank @bcalloway for his help with this stuff.

Some of what we're trying to accomplish will require patience from the subscribers, but trust me when I say I'm working hard on this stuff. I just wish I was a bit more of an expert. lol

Seems like this is more about the user experience/backend stuff. But I want to take a moment to reiterate that you all are absolutely slaying the hoops coverage. Seriously lapping all other Mizzou hoops coverage with your analysis.

B.J. Davis Ray picked SMU this afternoon. Why is that important? It functionally closes the book on the 2025 cycle.

Otherwise, every other prospect will have picked a school, cut their list, or had their spot taken by Aaron Rowe or Nicholas Randall. OK, Nate Ament a top-five prospect is waiting until spring, but MU isn't in the mix with him.
