Dive Cuts Live: Mizzou dominates Mississippi State

Mizzou Men’s Basketball accomplished something on Saturday they’d never done before: they beat an AP ranked opponent on the road by more than 20 points. The program record previously was 11 points, so the 27 point win was a pretty significant win. So much so that a win of that size against an AP ranked team has only happened 24 times in the history of college basketball.

With the win, Missouri staked their claim to be a team to watch over the second half of the SEC schedule. And with reason, they’re playing like a top 5 team since the start of 2025. The Tigers travel to Knoxville to take on 4th ranked Tennessee, then return home to play 10th ranked Texas A&M. Join us tonight at 8 pm to review the big road win over State, and look ahead:

Here's the URL to the YouTube Live page for 8PM tonight. The plan is to keep things brief as Matt and I are both a little under the weather, but we're going to power through.

This Mizzou team reminds me of the type of opponents who would beat us in past NCAA tournament competitions. They’re long, multifaceted, and so bought in that they can stop even very talented teams, all the while scoring themselves in multiple ways.
